5.0 throttle bodies
What is everyone running for 5.0 flanged throttle bodies? I searched and couldnt find much. Can they handle 30+psi? Btw, i have zero interest in a boomba so please keep that in mind. Thanks!
Can you elaborate in why you have 0 interest in the boomba? Have you had issues with it or heard of some? I'm only curious because I have one on my build and it's working out wonderfully so just curious. There is a new Full Blown one also that is getting good reviews.

Aluminum throttle plate for one. Another reason is the last thing i bought from them came with cross threaded fittings.
i had a bbk 5.0 throttle body and was a pile of $h!t. you just barely touched the gas pedal and would almost be at 50% throttle!!!! it also made my car real bucky like if thats even a work? lol i hated it i even have aem to help control all the sensitivity and angles and load control the works and it hardly helped. went with a boomba and will never look back its an excellent piece!
I run the 90 mm accufab.

It has a stainless shaft that is huge, it does leak when you do a boost leak test, but since I run over 36 psi with my gt42, It really doesn't bother me because the turbo can more than make up for it. YOU MUST PLACE A THROTTLE STOP otherwise you will have too much mechanical leverage on the end of the bell crank.
hope that helps
and then if you get really bored you can go to a 105mm as it uses the same bolt pattern

How's the drive-ability of this throttle body?

well I do drive the car on the street occassionally, it is quite "jumpy" to say the least . However if you add spring to the throttle pedal, you could make it a little more linear in delivery,

I’ve read nothing but good things about the boomba throttle body. The only thing I would do is take out the screws on the butterfly and add some lock tight on those screws. I know there have been several users that have complained about those 2 screws coming loose or coming completely off, which could cause a catastrophic failure. I know it happened to David Buschur in his Badbish not too long ago.
you need a progressive linkage to eliminate the drivability problems associated with a large throttle.
