More then likely not but I've seen it posted in other places. Hopefully something comes out soon to compare.

I was very happy with my JB BBK-Full when I had it.

Likewise with the CBRD turbo range. Given a larger than stock displacement motor I would personally choose a 3B, or a BB-C over the smaller wheeled BBK-Full.
I understand what you are saying, my friend. By 3B, are you referring to the BBK-B?

There is bound to be significantly less measurable back pressure through the Red's turbine than exists with the smaller major and minor diameters of the wheel used on the Green.

Yes. I have been reading about it. I am just not ready to spend another $2,000+ on another brand new turbo which is why I was looking at the BBK Full.

Well, I know that the cost factor is what keeps me from ordering a BB turbo too, pure_evo. Still I think that with 2400 c.c.'s of displacement you should be able to spool a medium-sized J.B. stock framed turbo such as an HTA Green, an FP Red, an EF3, or a BBK-B.

I am not sure if it was on this thread or not where Chad had stated that the BBK-B will only be available in BB format(Is this right?). Also, I think that the Green will be from now on only available as a BB turbo. I am not 100% sure on these two statements though.

Still I think that with the 2.4L engine you'll have no trouble spooling a JB Red. I have one on my stock motor now and the only place where it is noticeably laggy s on extremely tight mountain roads. On sweepers and around town it is just fine for me. And this is on a stock 2-Liter.

I would say either the JB Red or an EF-3, would be good with your motor, if in fact the BBK-B is no longer made in JB format.

I think that I'll head over to the Dynotuning forum to see if Curt Brown has posted up some comparative power plots between the BB Green and the BB Red on his 2.3L engine.

from what i have read it seems that the BBK Full, B and C are only going to be in Ball Bearing form. the only JB turbo from CBRD is going to be the BBK lite, now im not sure what they have for the X's.

i also want to say that the FP line is mostly BB as well.

i have a JB Full and i love that turbo! not laggy and pulls hard.

whenever i build the motor (2.3 or 2.4) i will probably look at the BBK-B or C. depending on the results of the C (spool, transient response, low-mid-top end performance) that might be my choice.

by the looks of the flow rates the C looks to be similar to the Red as far as flow.

i thinking my setup will be a 2.4l with ported intake and 65mm TB, forward facing BBK-C, built head etc etc. thats the setup i am thinking of going with.

For the Green, I believe it can still be purchased in journal bearing configuration from a few vendors on here. I would check with Spec Ops. I have seen only one FP Red for sale on here lately. I have my eyes on it. At this present time, I waiting for my EF4 to get returned to me and I am looking for a short term thrill. I will mot hijack the thread and would just prefer to keep monitoring this thread as I am beyond impressed with what I have read thus far.

BBK full will always be available as journal bearing!

The price increase was because of an MHI price hike- nothing else-

Cheers

Chad, and that price would be...? Also, how do you think it will perform on a 2.4L engine?
