Question Will this fit?

If the eclipse and the evo both run a 4g63 then won't some parts be able to be swapped between them? My main question is cams, I have an eclipse with Crower 272's and if they will fit on an evo then I want to swap them straight across. What about pistons as well?

I guess for future reference and maybe even Sticky purposes, what thing's CAN be swapped between the eclipse and evo 4g63?

Thanks guys.

I believe the eclips cams are thinner... not to mention the evo motor is @$$ backwards compared to the eclips. Don't quote me on this though as I'm not too familiar with the eclips 4g63.

Yeah I am not sure what is exactly different, but the trans is on the other side. Maybe I'll ask this same question on the DSM forum and see what I can learn, and I'll post what I find.

You would have to swap the intake cam on the DSM onto the Evo exhaust side and vise versa. You would also need to cut a notch in the DSMs intake cam 90*s from the other notches for the cam angle sensor to line up properly so yes, they can be swapped.
