Not condoning the product, but I guarantee you that Honeywell and many others are currently outsourcing their production to China.

It's all a matter of presentation, packaging, and marketing.

I type all of this from my $1500 Apple Laptop that was designed in California and made in China, that is $1000 more expensive than an equal PC laptop, and is currently the most valuable company on the Nasdaq and the world.

I would venture to say that there are many similarities in design and the castings. But, I think that many of the overseas manufacturers, when making things on their own accord, take shortcuts on the valuable bits i.e. not using Forged wheels, no Inconel shafts, and other cheaper materials...

These are just some of the reasons why companies like OBX and Godspeed do such a poor job. They don't put the time into the R&D and testing like good companies do. They simply think that if it looks the same it'll perform the same. It dilutes the market and then they move onto the next knock-off.

That's why they get such a bad name. It's well deserved too. But, that doesn't mean that properly designed products with solid quality control cannot be outsourced effectively.

As for this turbo, I really don't know. Seems like a crapshoot at this point.

They are cheap because they don't work.

"NOTE: You will need Turbo DownPipe to complete this kit.
NOTE: Please check all measurements to see if item will fit your vehicle.
NOTE: All of turbo parts do need to modification in order to fits perfectly."

If you need to modify all of the turbo parts, that is not a very good deal/option. Lol.

i have seen people make awesome power on ebay turbos, however they never seem to last very long. One of my super ghetto friends ran an ebay turbo, it lasted all of 2 months.

Anyway you cut it pay money for good stuff or leave your car stock.
