help!! just got my car back

Ok so I just got my car out of the shop after a spun rod bearing in my old motor. I bought a complete long block with sensors manifold etc and swapped it over. I just picked up my car today and as soon as I got there the idle started bouncing and the car died. I tried restarting it and just a crank, it sounded like it wanted to turn over but didnt. I scanned for codes and I keep getting this code only no crank code.
P0340 Cam Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction

It this my problem why my car keeps shutting off, sometimes the car will drive fine and then randomly start bucking baddd to a stop and just shut off. Then it will have trouble starting and just crank. Thanks for the help

Did they remove your cam sensor and reinstall it?

Can it be that the cam sensor is on 180* wrong? or would that be a different code?

It's just a thought.

ok so its most likey just the sensor and not the wiring etc? I didnt throw no crank sensors at all so its must be just the cam position sensor it self correct?

Get a friend with an EVO and quickly swap the sensor over from their working/running car and go from there.

It does sound like a bad crank sensor but why not just bring the car back to the shop?
