what's the difference between 9.8 and 10.5 hotside, flows better, spools better or why are ppl swapping them ?

 

more top end from a 10.5. Slightly quicker spool from a 9.8. Less back pressure 10.5. More back pressure from a 9.8. see the trend?

The loss in spool is small, and the gain in HP is relatively small aswell. Ive heard about 10hp gain from a 10.5 housing.

 

i think you can make more over all power on a 10.5 hot side

 

what 211ratsbud said. it also has a single wg flapper vs the 9.8 twin flapper. the larger single puck of the 10.5 flows better than the 9.8 dual puck design which helps with boost creep. the larger area also helps hold peak boost longer and it doesnt taper and fall off as soon.
