is the injen kit any good?
there is an enjen kit that includes an intake, upper intercooler pipes and lower intercooler pipes. some say the quality is good and the price is great but some say that its not good quality and causes less power gains than other intercooler pipes and intakes. is that true? would you recommend this enjen kit?
btw : my goal is to reach around 340-350whp (with more mods than just piping and intake of coarse)

I've had it on my car for quite a long time. I didn't have another kit to compare power gains or losses with, but am happy with the product. I am in your goal power range, dyno depending, with the Injen intake/IC pipes, 3" tb exhaust, GSC cams, and tune.
Didn't fit right on my car. Didn't like the way it fit so I got rid of it. I bought mine used so not sure if it was bent or what but I just could not get it to line up well and the BOV placement was a pain to deal with
These where one of the first kits offered for these cars....thus old technology. Dont get me wrong a pipe is a pipe, but bends and lengths are key. If all you want is about 350hp then its a good kit for you. GL!

It's funny how people like to say it's "super old tech" and trash a product just because it's not to their liking, the fact that i may not like something doesn't automatically make it "bad",the piping has the bends it has to have because it's a "stock battery location kit" so the pipping has to go around the battery,i have had it on my car for about a year and it's been great so far, good enough to allow me to put down 404whp on my Evo 9 turbo with moderate mods,so the kit performs the way it should.for the money i think is a good buy,if you have relocated the battery i would look into an ETS pipe kit though since the routing will be shorter.
Here are some pics of the fitment issues that I had.
Hard to see but the BOV is tat an odd angle. I would have had to cut the BOV flange on the intake to make it fit better. It kept leaking at my BOV.

I was never able to get this to line up over the correct hole. It was twisted odd as well by the intercooler. I ended up getting a MUSE uicp and it fit alot better.

I had this kit on my car for a couple years and its was a cost effective system but the nice finish on the piping didnt last long and the lower pipe is a bit restrictive compaired to other brands. battery relocator and short route kit from a reputable company would yield better hp gains for less than a hundred bucks more than the injen set up.
The injen kit is not that great the intake is odly constructed and a similar design of the Dejon tools intake and the piping is budget quility as its way to mass produced. If you wwant a nice kit or full setup I would suggest either ETS or BR setup.
If you only want to do this one time, you might as well go for ETS, AMS, or BR. The reason why I stayed away from injen is because their pipes tapper just like the oem pieces. Its best to buy parts that don't have the problems of the old ones. Otherwise, why upgrade at all?
