Yeah only thing I can say to that is if you do go that route don't over pay for a crank and if possible buy a couple. I mean yeah it is kind of a waste of money but like you said if your unsure and if you have a couple of them if one is good then your good to go, if the other is bad scrap yard or sell to a company who buys used cranks to have them turn it. But I can understand not wanting to spend more then you need to.

Well like I said earlier the oem ones break being they prob weren't maintained correctly and have alot of that crap out of them and instead of spin the wobble. I mean OEM cranks are strong as well and alot of them see plenty of hp. I can understand the consern but I would think if the machine shop knew what they were doing and cleaned it out properly it would be fine.

I can say I bought an OEM 4G64 used from a fellow Evom member and recently got it rotated. Machine shop said it was perfect like a lot of cranks from factory so no cutting was done. Honestly these cranks see oil all the time so I don't see how an OEM crank would not become unbalanced.
