ECU Reflash on Turbo/Engine life

I'm very interested in getting a DynoFlash since I live in good ole Connecticut but since I plan on keeping my Evo forever I was wondering what is the general concensus on how reduced engine/turbo 16g life is with an ECU Reflash?

I'm mostly concerned about holding boost to redline (and the higher redline) and if this will greatly reduce the longevity of my ride.

Anyone here have over 10k on their EVO with a reflash? What about older versions experience from abroad??

I think driving style and environment will be a bigger factor on how long the engine lasts than modifications.. If you don't abuse the snot out of the car, it'll certainly last alot longer than car that's seen boost all day long, every day..

If running stock boost it should run just as good as stock if not better since the A/F has been tuned for the car.

What are the odds that the dealer can detect? I'd like to keep my mods basic and hopefully won't void my warranty. What are everyone's experience with dealerships after having this done?

I know that they cannot detect a reflash.

When i got my VW flashed when i did my turbo setup, i pulled all the stuff up on a diagnostic program called Vag-Com. The only thing that really changed on that flash was the dealer identification #. I am not sure if this applies to that, but VW would never be able to detect that the ECU parameters had been changed unless they looked up the shipping info on my exact car. More than likely not.
