Question Question on CR and Gas Octane

Guys

looking for some opinions here, im building an engine with these specs
-Bore 86mm
-10.0:1 CR

-Manley Rods
-1000cc Injectors
-280 Cams
-(thinking of a Winberg Crankshaft)
-2 fuel pumps, Aeromotive on tank and Bosch 044 in line
-ATP Garret GT35 bolt on turbo
-Ported head, intake/exhaust manifolds

many more mods, if there is any other spec that you'll need to know for helping me here, i'll add it..

looking to reach 500 to 550awhp boosting no more than 30 psi, it seems possible or im i out of reality?

another thing is the Gas Octane that im using for low boost (18psi) is 89 Octane (Unfortunately that is the better octane on pump gas that we have here in Dominican Republic), im running the AEM water injection system 550cc, but im concerned about knocking/detonations with that octane and that CR.

So, in not so many words....

1- Can i get that amount of power by raising the CR and boosting less than 30psi?

2- Would be safe running 18psi with that Octane/CR relation?

3- How high you guys think that can i take it with this configuration? (RPMs)

Thanks!

Run 9:1 and expect 25-26psi on 89 and meth. Tested it and thats about as far as we could get.

thats good news for me John, because i only want to boost 18, maybe 20 on lowBoost (89+meth), but for high boost im thinking on 30psi max....

what numbers you got there?... do you think i can get 500+ awhp boosting 30psi on 9:1?

and... if you tested 89+meth on 9:1 @25-26psi.... i think 89+meth on 10:1 @18-20psi doesnt sound that crazy... what do you think?

Thanks for the help!

We made 489 on a Black I believe, may have been a Red. I will contact the owner and find out.

Thanks man!... appreciate your help!

I think im going for 10:0 boosting 18-20 psi on 89+meth @LowBoost set up, all depends on KS readings. and thinking on 28-30psi on VP109 @HighBoost set up.

i'll let you know when i built and tune it!

This is crazy Gadiel who travels to Panama says a car with 10.1 compression wont last with 89 octane. Just go 9.1

Hey chester I would say to stay away from the higher compression when running the crappy gas from DR ! Where are you from in DR I have family from over there and my wife is from la vega and she has family that live in the capital en Los tres brazos!

From what I've read, higher compression does very little for peak power. I can attest to it's off boost responsiveness, but the dyno doesn't really show that too much.
