tial newb question...
Was wondering if anyone could help me out. on my tial setup the flange coming out of the tial has a raise in it.

but the other end that is on the manifold is machined flat.... I feel it isn't sealing properly and could be causing turbo lag and could cause boost control problems... Is this how its supposed to be? or should the end on the manifold have a flange like this.

if so, i'd hate to hack away the flange on my wg, would you advice against maybe running this flange and a longer bolt?
i'm sure there's a simple solution but i'm pretty stumped....miss the internal gates lol...
thanks,
corey

the flange you can see in the pic looks threaded but it isnt. if i face the wg correctly i will be attempting to bolt together 2 flanges that are threaded (at the manifold) and then two flanges that arent threaded (at the dump tube) right now the plan of action is to drill out the threading on either the wg or the manifold. and to add threads on the dump tube and run a bigger bolt.
I remember my MVS38 was a pita because you had to compress that ring by pushing the waste gate towards the flange. That seals the pistion. Unless you have it flipped and its sticking way farther out. There should be some protusion into the mating flange, which like I said, gets compressed into the waste gate housing a little bit.
