Clutch Masters FX400 questions

Howdy doody. Just finished installing my fx400 on my IX. This is the second clutch I've had the pleasure of installing. (sarcasm) Anyway, I replaced my stage 2 Exedy 4 puck clutch because the pressure plate was failing and was not supplying sufficient clamping force and was causing my synchros undue harm when quick-shifting. That said, I have not completed the break-in for my fx400 - BUT I am already nervous and think I may have gotten screwed. The pedal feels as soft as stock, the kit I was sold advertised 170% holding power increase over stock....so I'm wondering how clutch masters accomplishes this "increased clamping" without having a stiffer pedal. As for hook-up, I haven't broken 500 miles yet, and still have the vehicle going to get tuned on March 2nd @ english.

Anybody else notice this? Input would be appreciated. I'm going lapping out at The Ridge March 17th, and if this clutch doesn't perform AT LEAST as well as my exedy did, I'm going to take this clutch and shove it up CM's ***. ONE clutch job every 30k is a ***** in and of itself, I don't want to touch that damn car for at least that long.

Thanks in advance,

The face.

The pedal feel is supposed to feel stock because of the special design of their pressure plate. I will tell you that this clutch grabs like a **** and I have launched many times without a hit of slip !

Btw I have the fx300 not 400 , but still it is an awesome design. (Minus the lockout I get lol)

This clutch can hold, my friend's MAP 2.3L EF3 E85 car proves this. Adam from MAP is the one who originally recommended it to him and he has no complaints.

Just remember, these puck clutches no not like being slipped, you will need to have quick foot work.
