12 second bet

hey guys
earlyer today i bet my boss $50 i could run a 12.99 second pass or faster in the 1/4 miles.
the track re-opens this weekend so i dont have much time to do any kind of modifications.
Mod list:
bigger intercooler
3in downpipe, test pipe, cat-back
k&n cone air filter
MAPerformance long runner manifold
DW300lph fuel pump
20lbs of boost on stock turbo
a slight tune with launch control at 5000rpm
recently changed all drivetrain fluids and ngk bpr7es plugs.

i am going to strip the car and try to run alot of unleaded race fuel or some C16(maybe??) and crank the boost up a couple of pounds.
do you guys think thats a good idea? what is a good and safe amount of boost i can run with my set up?
is it possible to make a 12.99 seconds pass with my current mods?

any comments of suggestions that will help me please post! thanks alot!

Agree with ^...the mods you listed with a good pump tune will let you run mid 12s if not better, if you can drive. C16 tune with those mods can possibly bring you to low 12s/high11s...practice launch n shift! ^_^... I ran 13.4 with your same mods untuned, 12.3 with a tune on 92pump with the rear seat/tire/jack taken out.

um... what tires do u have? you can drop a lot of time with the right tires and if you can drive. i would not put race fuel and crank up the boost without a tune just for 50 bucks.

If you can get a tune for fifty bucks, get a tune. If you can do some great modification to your car for fifty bucks, do the modification.

In other words, go to the track and have fun. Forget about the bet.

Here is some food for thought: Before I went all out with my car i bought my car mostly stock. With these modifications I went 12.34 back in early 2009.

Meagan Turbo Back Exhaust
AMS Front Mount Intercooler
AMS Lower Intercooler pipe
Intake
Boost Controller
93 Octane/ Tuned 22 PSI
Street tires
STOCK CLUTCH

After the track day the clutch started to slip. Never went back since then. You should have no problems breaking into the 12s. Good Luck and hope you win the bet haha
