My guess is that the biss has been messed with and the IAC is running out of travel.

base idle set screw located on the throttle body.. if its out of calibration then the ISCV will also be out of calibration trying to undercorrect or overcorrect for air compensation.

Your base rpm should be atleast 3-5 k to be enough to work your motor to death. It typically won't be too low because of the range of travel of the biss. Next step would be to look into voltage issues with your unit. Typically 5volts is being sent...you could have a bad regulator or bad alternator giving high output (extreme) Check manual for voltage specs. I can't find my post where I listed the voltage readings. Good Luck.

This should help you.

OP, is your idle high?

well the IAC is seeing 12volts with the car in the on position but not cranked! I think it should be 5 volts but Im not really sure. The idle is perfect when its warm but when the car is cold it will not idle at all.

I am not convince that the voltage regulator is my problem! I just cleaned the TB and tighten the biss screw all the way in. Then reset the rom to stock and it cranked fine the first time so I let it fine its idle then I let it cool off and the 2nd crank was not good! But needless to say I think 3rd ISC motor is done!

Did you disable the biss and test as instructed?
