Every time i start my evo up i get a wineing sound. The sound is only when the starter is cranking. Im thinking its a starter going bad but wanted another more knowledgable opinion. Any ideas? Thanks

 

does sound like starter. mine would do it sometimes, then finally wouldnt turn @ all. just a zzzzzzz sound. had to buy a new one. i would suggest only gettin a oem starter. went threw 3 autozone starters. u can get it tested but not always accurate

 

Starter not sitting properly..or maybe no good.
