Any vendors carry this? On uk site lancerregister.com forums it seems to be a top choice and at a good price:

i saw this and was interested as well. I searched google for pipercross filters USA distributor, and found some place called Diamond or something.

FYI- there is not a specific Evo 7 or Evo 8 kit out, so you are going to purchase some universal parts. The filters have wierd flow ratings with HP #s to them- this flows up to 400hp, get it? Pipercross stuff looks top quality, but im not really sure about spending the money to have something not specific to our cars. Some more pics from the distributor would help though.

Good luck with your search!

Just got off the phone. I am going to start putting this together for people. I was incorrect about my previous statement- the flow rating was 4X that of stock, not 400hp.

I will have some more details for people in the very near future. I have found out that i should be able to bring some technology to this car that has not yet been seen on any car, but you're going to have to give me time before i can get some pics of what i am talking about.

Well from what i know right now, the air filter, clamps, and canister are all pretty attainable. The big thing is that i am going to have to fabricate my own MAS pipe, and have it sent out to be produced. The big deal is the piping, so i really cant speak about that.

People are going to start thinking very differently about a lot of products on the market once i get this off the ground. Like i said, i got off the phone about 20 min ago, so i have a lot of work to do in the coming weeks, but i made a good deal already.

Better things are on their way for our cars! WaitnSee

That carbon airbox is nice- i like the design. I dislike the blue fitting on that filter though- im sure it has been updated though.

I will have some more information on what i have up my sleeve tomorrow i hope- i have to get a confirmation about something Pipercross has acquired into its future lineup....

You are going to be impressed.

Here is an email I got from the company:

"Pipercross have a kit for the earlier Evos but this kit has not been tried on the 8 yet. This will be getting checked on the 8 in the next week or so to see if it also fits the 8 aswell. They are pretty confident that it will but to be sure they are checking.

If you would like to contact us back in approx. 2 weeks I should be able to let you know the outcome"

i have to wait for some info on the filter/canister. apparently, its a different version that what is being sold now- i really dont like what they have out now looks wise- the Vector setup that is anodized red with carbon fibre- kind of tacky. I have to wait for information as well.

pipercross filters are used buy most of the WRC cars. somehwere i have a old catalog with the different specs on them. i ran one of their larger filters on my Subie RST .

a lot nicer build quality than the oily paper filters

Being a Brit, i know Pipercorss have been around for years and always produced great items. They were famed for their cams which were used widely by rally/rallycross teams in Europe.

Yea I heard they had a great pedigree...which has my interest now. I wonder if their air induction would work well on the evo8.
