Clutch engagement to high?!! HELP PLZ

alrite guys, ive searched and searched, and have tried a few tricks that i found on the forums here, and my engagement is still way to high, i knw its not bad to have a high engagement but im just really use to it being alot deeper into the peddle. i have almost all of the push rod on the peddle not showing, shouldnt this have made the engagement alot deeper in the peddle,( i made sure to turn the rod counter clockwise like instructed on another thread. can sumone help me plz, either im an idiot or my clutch is goin out, but ive also tried the whole, floor it goin 65 in 5th, and it didnt slip then, and ive tried the start from dead stop in 4th, and it stalled almost immediately, plz help guys

You don't need to turn the rod a lot to make a difference. Put it back to it's original location and start again 1/4-1/2 turn at a time.

I'm not sure, but if that what it takes to get it where you want it, I don't see a problem.

you shouldnt have to adjust the rod that much. when i adjusted my clutch around half a turn and it went from the top where it engaged to about half an inch from the floor where it starts to engage now.

Sounds like ur adjusting it the wrong way. The more u turn the rod clockwise and push the pedal back and the rod forward the more travel it gives the pedal and it will engage higher or more towards the top of the throw. U just want to make sure that there is at least a tad bit of play at the top of the throw. If u want it to engage earlier or more towards the bottom of the throw turn the rod Counterclockwise so more rod is towards the rear of the car.....

information is greatly appreciated from all of u, but, i already did all that, i adjusted it counter clockwise to make it so the engagement would be closer to the floor, but its still at the very top, im getting to the point of bein pissed off now....

I dont know why people are so concerned with where the clutch engages, I adjusted mine to allow the most slave travel, thats whats most important to me...
