Valve cover internal baffle removal/reinstallation?

Hey guys,

I remember someone posting their procedure up at some point, but I don't think it was a dedicated thread. I searched and can't find it.

Can anyone post/link the procedure? I know the guy posted the fasterner diamater/pitch, etc..

Thanks!

to remove them, you have to either grind or drill the old rivets off. for fasteners, i used 8-32x1/2", but some guys go metric.

not very helpful, but here is mine in progress. stock pcv fitting was removed and tapped 1/2npt, the trans side fitting was pulled out and tapped 3/8npt along with one on the exhaust side in the same spot. i also shaved the ribs off the top.

there is a thread in the how to section. the guy basically safety wired it back on with the bolts he used. the thread was about people who had their valve cover sandblasted. so i guess search sandblasted valve cover. it should pop up.

Funny just started mine yesterday. I started by center punching rivets then drilling them out. After I had the baffles out I used a die grinder to level off old rivets. Then I use small bits and worked up to the right size. NOTE, Do NOT drill to deep! I had on hole go all the way through, it will be covered by the cover.
