My son's clutch is slipping. Evo 8 2003 Bigger turbo/hot side pipe kit/tuned. Pulled it out today and the plates are worn out.And the metal plates have a lot of heat marks which is understandable. It is a twin Exedy carbon plate model. 225mm plates 36 tooth spline. I can't find a listing of it anywhere. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bagging the clutch as this car has seen track work before he got it and it's done 25k since.
Anyway I could spend the next 2 years and read all of the applicable post's but I need to get parts under way now.
If we go single plate we need to get a new flywheel. Or do we get a new clutch combination with everything?
This is the second time I've removed the box and as anyone that has done it, it's not the greatest thing to do. So I'd like to get a clutch that will last. Or do I shorten his right leg?

I think those clutch types are rebuild-able. Also if you have more specific mods or horsepower numbers, that would help us determined the appropriate clutch (if you wanted to get a new one).
