I torqued them in a star pattern to 13 lbs. Is there anything I can do at this point without taking the tranny down again. I didn't use an alignment tool but when I put the clutch disc and the pressure plate together, there was not much movent for the disc to be not aligned and plus the input shaft wouldn't have went through I would think.

IDK Rule of thumb for me is to use it even if I dont need to.. For this very reason the thought of taking the tranny off is a Pain in the richard...I think you could trouble shoot for days but at this point I would pull it. You could be causing damage by driving it

remove the slave cylinder and see if you can move the fulcrum by hand, if you can then the tob most likely pushed the clutch clip off the back of the center and its just sitting there behind the clutch. if you have done that, i would ask how the pedal feel is comparitive to before the work was done. if it is massively softer or virtually effortless to press yet returns each time you may have put the springs on wrong on the fulcrum. i wish you could take a pic down through the access hole in the bottom or through the fulcrum hole on the side of the tranny so we could see how the tob looks. my x did this after i replaced the clutch for a CCI Stage 3 single, tob just moved the clip ring back and it fell off. just glad it didnt break. good luck and if you fix it let us know what you ended up doing.

If you mean the clip being pulled and then coming loose then its not jt because the clip is still secure and connected.

I just looked through the inspection hole and the Tob is moving freely but still attached to the PP snap ring as I move the clutch fork by hand with the slave removed. Fork moves like normal with no binding. I had the driver passenger wheel off the ground and I put it in first gear and I was able to spin the wheel and it was spinning the driveshaft and everything. Could it be that I needed to torque the PP down a lot tighter?

B, when the tob is engaged, you shouldnt be able to move the fulcrum by hand at all. thats why it takes hydraulic force to move it. does it snap back into place (towards the drivers side) when you let it go? if not then the springs on the fulcrum are not installed correctly for the return stroke. and if the tob moves freely in and out of the clutch pp then the ring is popped off. what you may have felt when you engaged it by hand at the beginning was the ring popping off. had this happen twice with one clutch on a customers car.

The tob only allows Me move it towards the pp and then it snaps back out. Like it should. Could the pp need to be tightened down further.
