AHH Help me with my shaft!

So im messing around with my car and just wanted to check the shaft play. Noticed a sh!tton of axial?? (back and forth between compressor and exhaust housing). Is that normal for when the turbo has oil in it? Its been that way for quite a while but i read up and people have been saying there should be almost zero axial movement. If im not smoking up and boosting just fine should i be worried? Debating ripping the turbo off and putting in a spare. this is a stock turbo so it is a journal bearing

A bit of oil residue on the compressor outlet is normal. Idk how much oil you're speaking of?

Side to side shaft play is normal with usage, in/out isn't good which is what you're looking at.

no unnormal oil residue, i meant the oil being in the turbo because its still in the car and just got done driving around. My tuner said its nothing to worry about but like its quite unusual that i have so much axial play. side to side seems within tolerance and the fins dont look like theres any contact with the housing. wtf this is confusing me

On second note, looking at the fins, they are slightly curved now, but no scarring on the compressor housing. guessing that could just come with age? just over 100k on the engine and turbo.

(Insert escodotcarter's gay response here). Anyways, the shaft play you're describing is not normal. Have it checked by a professional shop if you are still unsure after viewing the youtube video.
