The EGR lines are routed correctly? Sounds like it might not be and the EGR is open at idle.

Those are some wide lobes on that cam... that and the idle and vacuum would all suggest cams. I assume you could make stock cam lobe as well by advancing the intake several degrees and drop the timing at idle--but thats all BS-- your car sounds good.

I love the way it sounds now lol and as long as the power is still there.. I'm not too worried about it even on stock cams.. It's a mind boggle.

Correct. I inadvertently did that one day and noticed it made an audible difference in the idle. Not saying thats it but something to check anyway. Fits your description and then it would have knocked hard before in the 5K+ range and now probably everywhere.

Update: Switched EGR lines and that was not the problem..

I do have A IAT high output code being thrown.

Going to EGR block off from STM next week and replace the sensor.

Tom says no way to tell if they are stock stilll.

Hi there so marcusE are you saying that the lumpy idle was due to a leaking egr?
We couldn't find anything wrong with my car and it sounds like yours in the clip.
So does yours now sounds different?

Cheers.

They don't sound stock at all. My stock came were more steady and almost no lope. I have buddyclub 272's and they sound a little rougher than those

Once I reflashed it with the EGR blocked off and removed completely..

Vaccum went back up to normal 20-21 and it idles 100 percent now..

It was the tune compensating for the leak in the EGR.

Fix your EGR system then drain ECU and reflash your tune and let it idle for 20 minutes.. Should be good.

These are stock evo 8 cams btw.

A buddy of mine's does this too, I checked over the EGR lines and stuff tonight, but since it's been confirmed that an EGR leak causes this, I'll let him know.
