Ok did some dyno tuning the other day and noticed that my boost would taper a bit quick. Also wasn't pulling as much vac as usual. I did smoke test and found one of the vac houses was off the Intake manifold. I reconnected and continued to test. I saw some smoke come out of the VBand Clamp on my Tial 50mm recirc.. is this normal? Would this cause my quick boost taper? I hit 27/28psi and it will hold for a quick second then drop to like 20/22.. I am on the stock IX turbo so i know its not going to hold there for a long period of time but thought it would hold a bit longer. What do you guys think? I am going to pull the upper and try and see if the BOV is seated correctly but its tight on there...

Preload the wastegate more to hold boost longer.

 

Thanks I do have the WG pre loaded in the tune... Why I am thinking its something else.
