But not a true 3" buschur down pipe

I have only been to GST. They replaced my clutch and I purchased pads and SS brake lines from them in the past....great group of guys from my experience.

You will need tuning if you mod your evo with exhaust, cams, intake, etc.......its the best way to extract the most out of your mods/upgrades....

Do some research and spend your money wisely...I'll admit I did NOT take the best mod approach to my evo due to a lack of research. I would have saved me time, money (at least a couple thousand dollars) and frustration of dealing with poor customer service because of my choices.

There's a lot of options on parts, I'd start with an intake and lower intercooler pipe, and full exhaust. I like ETS stuff but you'll get more for your money buying good, used parts.
I would love to have an ETS intercooler piping system, ETS intake, ETS turbo manifold but its kinda pricey ..

While getting stuff ready for the car, also keep in mind smog regulations in California. Just something to keep in mind.

Good point....Hold on to your STOCK OEM exhaust especially the cat if you still have it....that is all I needed to pass CA smog.

Okay sounds good, this is my current plan possibly. I wanted to go ETS intake K&N filter, buschar downpipe, and turbo manifold and once thats done then go tune.
Where will i be approx whp and hp wise ?

Yeah your right, but a simple exhaust intake manifold intercooler wont cause any harm

I would suggest a ported oem exhaust manifold, otherwise you'll have to put the stock one back on to pass smog......and a complete TBE ... not just a downpipe....If you can get some good cams too...that will really open up your evo 8.

I have 280 HP on a DynoDynamics dyno...from Vishnu...it is a low reading dyno from what I've been told...so I would be over 300+ HP on most other dynos... Get a baseline stock HP dyno figure then again after you are done with your first round of mods.

You being in Cali-- you're limited to 91 octane and restricting Laws in Cali governing modifications .

New walbro ---> $50 - 65
New drop in filter ---> $15 - 25
Port your stock intake ---> cost 'time'
MBC ---> $25 - 45
Port your exhaust manifold ---> cost 'time'
Used O2 housing ---> $35 - 55
Definately LICP ---> $45 - 75
Tune (*support your vendors/ tuners on the site) ---> $200 - 400
Go to Vegas a blow ther remaining change, if you win big PP me some funds. GL.

Not true...just make sure to hold on to your stock exhaust...trust me...at the very least, your cat. Intakes can be frowned upon too. A friend had to put his oem intake back on to pass the visual....

Not saying don't do it...we are simply trying to bring light to the bigger picture of modding...

You recommend an oem intake manifold ?

And what do you think about this ?
