strange pulsating vibration at 45MPH and higher

EDIT: It was the front wheel bearing. Both of them actually. One much worse than the other, didn't know the driver one was bad too until i replaced the passenger one

i searched, couldnt find anyone with a similar problem.

so here's the deal. it starts happening at like 40MPH and get louder and worse by freeway speeds. i cant really feel anything in the steering wheel. but i can feel the car vibrating, i can feel it in my feet on the pedals. its kind of a intermediate pulsating type of vibration like constantly every half second i would say. its very loud and annoying. the only time it kind of goes away is during kind of hard right hand turns. during left hand turns it remains

ive felt very unbalanced wheels/tires before and its nothing like this. could it be messed up rotors? wheel bearing? driveshaft?

it kinda sounds like its coming from the front of the car. thanks for any help!

There is a TSB on wind buffeting. I don't know what it says because I don't have access. My car (an '03) started doing this right after I replaced the OEM tires. I've always wondered what I would see if I bought another set. Anyway, that was a long time ago and I just put up with it. At speeds above 65 mph, for me, it goes away. At 80K now.

People have written that if you rebuild the transmission that fixes the problem. Dunno.

Yeah, I also thought wheel bearing. But, wouldn't you then notice it at lower speeds too?

I had this same sound, vibration i thought it was wheel bearing.Well it turned out to be my tires! The tires looked fine on the outside edge but the inside where cupped. You would be surprised how much feed back your tires give you, don't forget to check them.

deff tires, u dont have to feel it thro the steering wheel for it to be tires, your alignment is very important

If its a bad wheel bearing won't the wheel have some play if I try to move it back and forth. Cause it doesn't. Also could a bad alignment cause this? Cause the alignment looks terrible in the front. One wheel is straight while one is pointing inward

u will not always have play in the bearing. ill put money on it being the bearing. jack the car up again and grab the spring and spin the tire u will feel travel into the spring. i deal with bearing every day (primarily stupid GM's) and that is the number one way i tell other than driving it. i have a bad LF bearing and its exhibiting the same signs your is.

^i really didnt feel anything wierd in the spring. and i found out the rubbing sound when i originally thought the right side sounded bad was the rotor backin peice. now both sides sound the same.

my alignment is ****ed. left wheels pointing in really far when the steering wheel is straight. could this be the problem?
