is it ok to use a stainless exhaust bung in titanium exhaust??

Hi all i have recently got myself a JIC magic bullet titanium cat back system for my evo 5 and it hasn't come with a bung.

I have looked on ebay and you can buy plenty of various sizes of bungs but i just wanted to make sure i was ok using a stainless bung on a titanium exhaust??

cant think of any reasons why i could have problems but fort i would ask just to be safe as it was rather expensive so dont want to ruin it.

Thanks

Then you should be fine as long as it's the right diameter.

It's ok to use stainless silencer in your exhaust.
I would't use one though because you will lose alot of power, you probably are better off keeping the stock exhaust.

Since you have a titanium exhaust I assume it's 80mm piping, but then you put the silencer in which only has a small hole for the exhaust gasses to go through.
This will create a lot of backpressure and will rob you off power.

Do you already have the exhaust installed or do you just assume it is going to be to loud?

I understand it will rob me of power but i would mainly like it in the car should i be going on a long journey somewhere.

The exhaust is installed yes and with a silenced de-cat but i dont have an engine in the car yet so havnt listened to it yet so may well be jumping the gun a little in thinking it may be loud.

And yes 80mm piping from the cat onwards.

I would just wait it out until you get the engine in and actually hear the exhaust, maybe it's not so bad.
I'm running a JIC Magic Spartan 505S ST myself (resonated version, SS piping with full Ti backbox)
I hadn't installed it yet and was already looking to buy a resonated test pipe because I thought it was going to be really loud but I really like it.
Not too loud when driving around town, no drone whatsoever when cruising on the highway and sounds awesome when you floor it

Have someone machine you a Ti bung...and then pay someone to Tig weld it in. Problem solved. I would just add a ss bung in your ss downpipe.

Any special gas shielding needed for this process over SS? What filler rod to be used?
