Stock metal BOVs: Yellow and silver caps

As we know there are two different stock metal (aka JDM MR) BOVs, one with silver cap: http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t...OVIIIMRBOV.jpg , another with yellow cap: http://www.streettunedmotorsports.co...a/evo9_bov.jpg .

In many e-shops you can find them tagged as "evo X bov, evo IX bov, jdm mr bov, etc. etc..."
Anybody here knows real difference between them? Spring rate difference? Year made? Any technical revision?

From my understanding they are both the same. They say JDM because the 8 had plastic here and the JDM models had the metal, before the IX came out with the metal one. Also, the X uses the same metal one as the IX did. Thats my understanding, correct me if i'm wrong any one.

Similar, but the vacuum nipple is clocked differently between the IX and X.
