ATP turbo problem???

hey guys

did any of you have any bad expirience from atp turbine housings? like too much backpressure or any problems on higher rpms?

current mods are gtx3076r with atp turbine housing .82 a/r 272 cams etc...
problem is above 7000 rpms and above 26psi of boost, it feels like something is restricting it until 7500 rpms and then it breathes again..no knock contition at all..

is there any way to monitor the backpressure?

i have the same turbo but haven't installed it yet. just got done porting the wastegate port and turbine outlet. are you talking about restriction in the exhaust, wastegate or intake side.

Why do you think it's the turbine housing? I doubt that's the problem.

I am running GTX-3071 from ATP. I was running it with tomei downpipe and result was ok. But then I changed tomei downpipe to MAP External wastegate dump. That made a big difference. From my point of view internal wategate route is a big restriction for ATP turbo.

In the diesel world boost gauges are installed into the Manifold, up-pipe, turbine area to monitor drive pressure.

Interesting stuff watching the how the two gauges react to one another. (drive pressure and actual intake boost pressure)
