Another TOB Clip popped off. What are the tricks to fix?
I think what he is saying is that the problem occurred when the pedal was depressed and thus making the fork an inch away from the stopper. Others are saying that this problem happens when the pedal snaps back and travels beyond what the stopper would allow for. However there have been a few incidents there have been situations where the TOB circlip simply breaks (maybe from pressure) and those cannot be resolved by a stopper or triple ringing.
I'm not sure how you can fix that problem unless you convert to a push style TOB.

Quick question i have a stage 4 exedy triple plate clutch in my 2003 evo 8 i only have 61k miles on the car about a month ago my clutch stopped disengaging all the way could the tob be the problem cause it started after a 8k rpm shift from 3rd to forth on a onramp just thought i would ask before i start taking **** apart
The pedal pressure did not change at all it just stopped fully disengaging so my first thought was slave cylinder or clutch bad clutch fork but this is my first import car so i know its alot different than domestic so im not to knowledgeable about them yet
Here's a link to the page https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...tch-issue.html
Clutch fork stop, really damn close to the fork=problem solved. This happened to me on a 2-3 quick shift while doing a datalog. It sucked.
But you have to adjust the clutch fork stop and give it id say 1/8 inch space and give it a little room otherwise the clutch will slip too because it needs to be able to flex a tiny bit.
