How much Boost should i run with my evo green turbo

Hey guys im new to these forums i recently picked up an 04 evo which has an evo green turbo, hks 272 cams, injen intake/intercooler piping, hks FMIC, HKS exhaust, forged BOV, port and polished head, with aftermarket fuel pump. Although the car has the stock injectors so I was wondering having these mods whats a safe boost to run at that will also give me a good hp put out? Thanks

560cc injectors will only support about 32lbs / min on 93 octane based on experience using evo 9 injectors in the older style 4g63 engine.

That said, I'm not an expert on the newer engine. My base fuel pressure was @ 43psi, and my injectors were logging 82% IDC +/- 3%

no offense but the question you asked does not reek of experience so I would say you'd be better off taking it to a tuner to get it tuned for maximum power on your setup with the best fuel available. If someone throws a number out and you set it to that, you'll probably just end up damaging you engine because it isn't tuned for that.

Plenty of tuners in Cali, take the time and the money and get it done right.

There are two "Green" turbos. One of them is refered to on these forums as the Old-School Green(OS Green). This is the original Green turbo.

The other, newer Green turbo, is called the HTA Green. Do you happen to know which of these two turbos is installed on your car?

Thanks for the replies, ya im not sure which green turbo it has, but as far as the tune goes, it has been tuned recently and was tuned at 15 psi. This is what the guy told me that i purchased it from he says its only at 15 PSI because the turbo was brand new less then 200 miles on it and its suppose to be driven easy for the first 1500 miles. He also had a Buschar transmission installed as well as a stage 2 clutch at the time of the turbo install. So now that the 1500 miles has past I was just curious as to whats a safe PSI to keep it at, while also wanting more power.

go and get it tuned and allow someone that know a safe level to do it i would strongly recommend you don't just start turning it up by your self unless you wan things to go bye bye take it to a tuner or find a tuner on these forums that do e tunes if you feel comfortable enough to do it that way but i still say take it to someone let them turn it to the safe amount

Yes do not change anything until you've got the proper instruments to tell whether or not you're about to make a costly mistake.

In fact until you either get with someone that has them that can do the tuning for you or get them yourself I would not beat on that car till you know it's right. Buying someone else's abortion is never a good idea.

Does the car have a wide band gauge installed? If it was tuned, you may notice the check engine light flashing under hard driving ( if it was set to indicate knock ). SD only has a couple of gas stations that sell 100 octane at the pump. If you turn up the boost to 19psi, and don't see knock..you could mix 91/100 to run at least 93 octane to have a little more peace of mind. But it's up to you. If you can, try to get ALL the info on the car you can. I would do a basic tune up/ fluid inspection, and go from there.
