Hey what's up I just picked up my 03 Evo 2 weeks ago and need some advice. On Sunday I changed the oil and put a cobb short ram intake on. the car was mostly stock before that with no issues. I didn't drive the car Monday but when I went to drive it today it runs fine but twice now when I got on it it left a cloud of blueish smoke. The turbo boosts fine and it only did it twice and not every time that I got on it. The smoking went away but it still did it twice. Could this be due to the intake? It's a stock tune still or is my turbo going? Any help is appreciated new to the Evo but not the turbo world

 

If you got on it when it was cold yea your going to get smoke. If it was warm it's usually rings or turbo. Test the compression and inspect the turbo.

 

it was when it was warm but it was only twice its not every time that i got on it which is wierd u would think if something went bad that it would do it everytime. ill look into it again today and see how it goes hoping its nothing major as i just got this car

 

Idk blueish white smoke is oil, straight blue might be carbon build up or crap fuel burning up if the car sat for a while.

 

its pretty blue the car only sat for a day ill run some good gas through it (used 92 oct last fill up was closest to me when the light came on) and hopefully thats it

 

ill also do a compression test on it to make sure its not that
