For my 2005 RS , I would like to go non-acd tcase just because what I've seen it's less things to go wrong and also cheaper to rebuild !!!

What are the steps to take for this conversion ?

I just did that to my car.

You have two options.
1. Convert current Tcase to non ACD (cheaper) (DIY or send to Sheptrans or TRE)
2. Buy non ACD to fix up or add LSD etc...

Then all you have to do is remove all the ACD components such as, ACD pump, all the fluid lines/electronic parts switches and ACD ecu. Removing the ACD ecu does not affect emissions codes.

The tcase is direct bolt on, no modifications are necessary.

As for parts needed to actually convert the tcase. I believe all you need is, non ACD cover and viscous coupling parts.
