Just to answer your question. Yes the cams will do that. If you have a stage 1+ parts installed, I am VERY SURE that Al can compare and even beat your Vishnu Stage 1+ set-up. The initial dyno sheet here did not have cams.

Now stop instigating and post something useful on this site.

Remember that the vishnu settings are also conservative due to our pathetic grade of gasoline on the west coast. They are also stress tuned for abuse on the same gas so that the results are consistant and knock free.

They may not have the higher numbers, but the margin of safety is what might sell other people as opposed to higher paper numbers.

I'm sure that both products are great to those who buy them for their own personal reasons. It is not to say that one is essentially better than the other. Just be thankful that we have two great DSM tuners available to our aftermarket and place your orders to whichever company you feel comfortable with.

Finally someone with an objective observation. I just got my evo a couple of weeks ago, and can't decide what to do. I started a thread "vishnu vs br" and it was shut down do to the fact it might start a flaming war. I've been trying to search about each on this forum, and the lists of posts are too vast to read, i need a cliff notes version. It seems that most of them end up with mine makes more for cheaper than yours. I want to get a user friendly system that I can tune for my own choice of mods. I am nowhere near Al and I don't even want to think about driving to Cali for tuning. Reluctantley I must leave now to continue my reading on the posts for the vishnu, br, aem, etc..... BTW great forum!!

Sorry if I coming to this topic late but our standard Stage 1s (exhaust, XEDE, cam gears, no reflash) have repeatedly made 310-320whp on the same very dyno that Al tunes on. In fact, they have made a bit over 305whp running the baseline map of the website. This is on 93 octane with stock cams, 3" cat, and without the benefit of sub-freezing ambient temps (it was back in the fall)

I haven't dyno'd any Stage 1+ (stg 1 plus cam gears) on Pruven's dyno yet so the jury is still out on what it should put down.

Regards,
Shiv

To me, its not about comparing this guys set up to any other tuner packages out there

First - I don't sell any parts - and even if i did - I couldnt sell them on this forum or even talk about it.

Second - this guy's parts list is what he wanted on his car. The concept of what I do as exclusive tuner of evos is to tune the mods on THE car and make them work well. The customer can select any mods he/ she wants and get them at the best possible price. They can pick and choose what works for them and what suits their won needs and tatses.

Third - what is interesting about the dyno sheet above is that

A - its informative to people considering those mods he selcted and also its nice to compare

B- it shows what kind of gains my tuning realized on a particular car on a particular day - same dyno - same gas - only variation was the reflash settings. it shows what the reflash can do. No other piggy back or device was needed other than tha reflash.

C - judging by how this customers rates his experience with my product and how he enjoys it it says something about how the product works

Thanks

Exactly,

Today with venders prices in such competition, AL would be stupid to sell his own parts.

AL simply tunes the EVOs with the mods chosen by the customer. It is absolutly clear from my dynosheet that the before numbers are much different then the after flash numbers. Yes maybe I choose some parts that seem to work well together, But still the gains are insane! My car feels like a different car. Cant argue the numbers.

Lets get off bashing peoples work, and just admire the "Art" work of AL with his Evos.

Lets grow up, and act like adults not like 10 year old kids on the playground.

Thanks,

Brett

Hey something i though about... when i was at Pruven for my morning appointment, My car was on the dyno running from 9:45-12:15... Doing dyno pulls and running, while the meatheads at pruven tryed to fix the A/F sniffer. My car was probably a little hot and did not take advantage of the Cold weather. Still got good numbers though.
