Plugs new and gapped. What next? Not rpm related but boost related. Free rev offers no break up. Ix plugs .022. No cel other than front o2 circuit low. Which is another problem. Just started breaking up real bad.

Cam sensor?

Coils ?

What might cause this but no cel. Open to try anything no other evos in my area and I'm not made of money. Getting married and having a baby this winter. Would like to have running well so I can buy a minivan!

I've recently started to have the same issue after my build. Dident happen at first but sprouted up. I have the sparktech cdi and I thought maybe one of the coils was going bad. Changed it for another working sparktech and no dice still breaking up. So I know its not the ignition causing it. Also changed/regapped plugs, changed out cam and crank sensor, fic 2150s for id 2000s, wastegate and still can't figure out the issue.

First thought is always ignition, your spark is breaking up. Start with simple things, change your plugs. Or evoscan it. I wouldn't wot it until it's fixed or you risk serious problems.

I was having an intermittent issue and ended up being spark blowout. I tightened up the gap even more. Try .020
You could always back the boost down to test the above theory, at least thats what I did.

Battery in good condiiton and fully charged?

I´ve experienced wot breakup from:
  • bad cam sensor
  • bad electrical connection in the MAF plug
  • bad electrical connection in the COP plugs
  • bad plugs/gaps
Carefully inspect all your wires to see if there is a stripped one etc, make sure all connections are clean and tight, could help.

Everything I see suggests to exhaust cam sensor replacement.

How much boost are you running? Also is it happening as soon as you in boost or once spooled up? Wideband? If so what's it read while breaking up?

Log evoscan. Boost leak test. Check plugs. Possible bad gas or clogged injectors/fuel pump.

dont forget to look at fuel supply, i had an issue on my '03 years back where my fuel pump could not push for the demand in the top end under boost, switched to a larger pump and problem fixed. but like asu11 said also could be a clogged injector. Good luck hope ses running right soon

Starts breaking up. About 6-8 psi . Plugs are gapped correctly. Afr is high 11 at this point . Once in a while it will clear up a little and skip twice or so to redline

Theres no backfiring or popping noises either

which plugs are you using? Also if its not the plugs next guess is the plug wires. Then next guess is the coils. Maybe its time for a COP
