Carbon Fiber Goodness
i just weighed mine and it comes in at 39lbs with the carrier bearings, but i will also be removing the carrier bearing housing for this one piece unit.i would guess the housing weighs in at 2-3lbs each so that is probably where the 43lbs estimate comes from.
so with this DS you will probably save 25lbs total with close to 20lbs of it being rotational.cost is higher than the 2 piece aluminums but the weight savings is quite a bit greater.

i'll also put up pics of the housing we re-move and how much/what part of it.mock-up looks like it will fit with minimal clearance of the housing.
i think they have a 2 piece for guys that don't want to alter the car.

Please explain what housing you speak of? Do you need to grind spot welds to remove this "housing"
I'd like to see installed pics because I know that the dss single piece shaft supposedly didn't fit. So please show me what you did... Pictures would help a ton. Thanks

hope everyone realizes one piece shafts can only be used when engine and diff are using solid mounts. and i dont mean harder than stock mounts. they need to be locked down solid. only movement left for shaft to deal with would be chassis flex.
