ok so my car is set with a turbo xs boost controller at 25, today i hit it with my buddy next to me and it flew to 30, when i shifted a huge flame came out and backfired like a real 9mm ... my buddy on the sti looked at me like im crazy.. im scared i might blow up something.. any ideas what could be the problem ? maybe the wastegate is bad or boost controller ?

 

You may have set it in very hot weather and now the air is just colder and denser. You should adjust it back to where you had it mapped so it won't get too lean.
