The boost solenoid is NOT connected, in any way, to the wastegate actuator. I left the one tube from the solenoid connected to the intake but I don't see how this could have any effect boost.

And like Evo11V mentions, did you take off all the plastic caps on the profec's solenoid? (not the stock) There were 3 clear plastic caps, and all of them need to be taken off.

Ummm... why don't you try taking that hose off and capping the nipple on the MAF pipe. Given the frustration you have had with the Profec (which seems to be more than anyone else) I would give that a try. When in doubt, cap off anything not in use unless specifically instructed to.

Anyway, the unit is holding boost now that I've shut off the Peak Hold display. Strange. I'm still selling it.

There's a plastic cap on the "NO" port. Does anything need to be put in that hole once the cap is removed?

I assure you the response will be infinitely better. I helped another guy troubleshoot tuning, only to find out his NO port was capped too. Now the thing runs like a champ.

Nope. You know what you should do now? Go run your car.

If I ever meet either one of you (I'm sure I will), I owe you both a beer.
No problem man! Tell us how the car feels when you get the chance - also, psi mode should now be no different than bar, and peak hold should work just fine (and will be helpful for tuning!).
I pulled out the cap and ended up having to lower my duty cycle from 70% to 45% and the spool up is RIDICULOUSLY faster than before.
It's holding steady (I went for a 30 minute drive to check out boost in all gears) with a slight .5 PSI fluctuation when it hits peak boost then it holds. There is NO spiking whatsoever and it sits right at 1.41-1.42 bar.

Now you need to go beat whoever installed the thing for you for not following the instruction manual.
