Emanage and Profec E01 on an EVO?

So, does anyone here have the Emanage and Profec E01 on their EVO? If so, do you have a stock program to pop into this thing to make a good baseline number?

This engine management forum seems really quiet, but since it seems the place to ask this question, there it is....

Thanks

JaMa

The settings vary a lot car to car. Mostly you take some fuel out at high RPM and add some in the midrange at certain points. I've done quite a few of these combos and they work very well with tuning. I usually get 35-45 whp increase with just these two things and tuning.

Thanks Dan

Thanks Dan.

So, is this a product you would normally take and tune on the dyno or does it give any meaningful AFR information as part of its "monitoring" tools? I was planning to use the boost controller display as the monitoring piece. Do I need to go out and get a wideband O2 to make this work right?

Edit: I guess the question is, can this combo be well-tuned using an EGT gauge and internal AFR equipment? I know that some of the units Ive used in the past (Link2 and TurboXS UTEC) came with pretty good basemaps and this was not an issue.

yes I am getting these installed on Fri myself. hoping for good gains and easy tuning. I plan on using the e-01 as the monitoring tool as well.

Seems like it ought to be a pretty rockin combo all things considered. Ill be curious to see how much HP youre able to get from this and where you decide to mount the main display unit. Also, the online documentation Ive ben able to find is a little confusing. Which sensors did you buy/need?

I like it I mounted it with the Ultimate-racing.com mount that they sell. looks sweet and mounts easily and perfect place.

The E-01 is great! I have had it for about 7 months with no problem. Also, It holds 20PSI solid to readline, no tapering.

Option install: I put mine in the sunglasss case overhead.

Sorry J, was out of the country, yes you can tune yourself easily if you have a wideband O2 meter. TUrbo XS Tuner kit is the best I've seen on the market. With that you can dial in the fuel settings on the E-Manage easily and it has seperate knocksensor and headphone output for tuning your timing. Works like a charm but a little pricey at $700. I only charge $200 to tune it all on the dyno for you so I guess depends on whether you have a local dyno to take it to.

If I remember correctly, E-M has some features like a datalogger for DSM'ers. Just read your knock count and tuning accordingly.

I am going for the emanage/e01 setupand realise that coils may be a problem. Will it help If I change the ignitor/coil setup i.e. AEM or MSD?

Actually just use the newest software and you will have no issues. That was a problem on the initial software and was solved already. Make sure to use 1.36 software is all. The E-01 is a fantastic unit. I am using one on a TT 350Z and it's nice because I can watch what the E-Manage is doing and linked in the Greddy EGT gauge into it as well so it will warn me if it gets too hot. Really nice system and easy to use.
