P0300 misfire code fix!!!!!

I have been having the P0300 misfire code for a couple of months now with no luck of having Mitsu. fix it. Well yesterday I brought my car back in for them to do some more tests on it. After a couple of hours I was told that the tech was on the phone with Mitsu tech support and this is what I was told....

"Contacted tech line with results tech line said Japan is working on ECU reflash due to come out end of FEB 2004"

This is great news for me as my check engine light will now be fixed but this might be some bad news for the guys that have the reflash done to there cars. Figured I would let everyone know that this is finally going to happen.

No need to worry - 1st of all - ALL dyno flashed cars are already fixed and dont get that code so no reason to take it back to dealer - - we already had done the R & D on that misfore code and how to fix it and ALL our reflashes have the fix already in

IF you notice NONE of our clients are the ones who are complaining about this !

Second - anyone who gets the ecu reflashed by just has to send in the ecu and I will reaload the dyno flash for FREE i have all the maps saved and backed up

Cool - just wanted to let the guys with my flash know its NOT an issue - dont get the recall flash and IF you do - then you can get a free re-install on your flash at any time I have them all saved on disk

Sorry - I cant disclose how i fixed that code - it took me literally dozens of hours of hard work and help from others and I am not at liberty to disclose this info

All i can say is you don't see my clients getting these codes becuase its fixed - thanks

Well, I'm glad somebody has a fix to this problem (although I don't have it ). Anyway, if Al (or anybody else) has a "cure" for this, it would fall in the proprietary information category. I don't think it's right to expect anyone to share their valuable (as in worth the cash money) knowledge.

Al, are you saying that your reflash (other than the Mitsu reflash, as soon as it's available) is the only one that fixes this code?

Also, if that is the case, if Mitsu fixes the ECU, will other reflashes bring back this code if they don't have the "fix" as you do?

I was Dynoflashed through the mail last October. Al, is there any new versions of your flash that I should get or is the flash today about the same as it was prior? I don't want that code. Any changes that warant an updated reflash or am I good to go?

I can not speak for other tuners and don't care to. ALL I can tell you is we have fixed that code - NOT by eliminating the code itself - rather we have corrected the condition which caused it

Our clinets just do not get that code unless for example they have a failed spark plug

Its been in the works for a while - they are going to give the dealers SIM cards to flash in a patch program to fix the mis fire code for those that have the code
