CEL light... Error on Pre Cat?

I dont think they are bsing... because it is only costing them money.

When I go there on friday I'll ask them for the code they pulled.

what could go wrong with the 02 houseing making the CEL go off?

The ony thing that can go wrong with the housing is if it were to get a big *** crack in it. You would probably notice an audible difference. The O2 sensor that goes in that housing is much more likely to fail and give you a CEL.

Of course today driving home from school I notice the light went off! WTF! ah what ever I'll still have the dealer replace it, since it is not costing me a penny.

haha! so the Service Manager calls me up today and says... brett apparently you know more about your car then the mechanic did! There is no precat! I'm like I told you, he said he knew and personally went and checked the problem my self and he was wrong.

oh duah!

Thanks guys who have taken that part of the engine apart and notified me there was no precat. The manager said sorry, and now I have to go back and get my hi-flow cat checked and possibly move the 02 sensor so it does not read so much air passing.
