Perrin Foam Intake Filter Falling apart

Anyone else experienced their filter undressing itself from the metal basket?

Mine after a few years in the Florida heat is worthless.

I emailed Perrin and PM'd them also with no response, which I expected.

Going to post some pics up later. Not sure if I'm willing to buy another filter from a vendor that doesn't take the time to acknowledge or address a concern.

Its not gonna last forever, even the K&N's(million mile warranty my @ss)dont last that much. Ive replaced the k&n in my mustang twice and on the evo I need to replace it anytime soon and I do know how to clean them. Im going with a vibrant for a change.

Nothing new for Perrin. My buddy had some issues with their OTS tune with his WRX. Driveability mostly

They were absolutely no help and blamed him for not installing the filter correctly (It's a drop in). Then it was he didn't flash the map in correctly from the AP.

He threw their drop in in the garbage got a different drop in w/ cobb OTS map and car was fine. Car now has many mods but none of them from Perrin.

CS is everything in this game.

The Vibrant filter in a total piece of garbage; never again will I use or recommend them. They let a lot of fine dust/dirt through which gunks up the MAF and passes through the engine. The metal mesh also begins rusting very quickly.

I agree it is a terrible air filter. I don't know that I would call the blue one they sell as anything other than a bug filter I have had no problems with rusting on it though.
