Yogsaahoth, its like your in my mind lol! Im sticking with my original upgrade path for now as it is in my budget for now. I actually really enjoy the stock turbo characteristics a lot and im sure the car will pull like a train with ic, piping, and s2's! Thanks again for all the great comments, EvoM is so awesome!

In my infinite wisdom I got the idea that I wanted to hit the "400whp mark." Swapped in an Fp green and I most certainly got my 400whp..plus a little extra. Do I notice a huge difference in power? To be honest, not really. Sure top end pulls a little better but the punch is reduced. Now we have to worry about killing the motor and tuning to delay torque hit. The car is still fun and I'm used to the slight lag now, but in my initial impression I was more aware of the delay in spool than I was of the increased top end. I'd be curious to see how my car (with 420whp) would do side by side with an aggressive IX. My guess is we wouldn't see much difference until the very top of 3rd and into 4th...and even then I might only creep.

The lesson here, don't chase a number....do what you can with what you have. S2 cams are wonderful, they'll make ur head spin. I'd spend the extra money on a garrett core IC. Ditch the drop in filter unless you really need it to look oem. Port your manifolds and throttle body. If ur left wanting more, you have 2 choices....change fuel or change turbo
You read my mind

9 turbo and S2's pull really hard and make a very potent setup, and yes when you go bigger on the turbo you do tend to immediately notice the loss of spool rather than the more power. Well you notice both but it is a feeling of loss down low. Yog's advice is very sound. Dont get caught up chasing a number.

Oh ****, cant wait to see this thing when its done! Meth will definitely get you to 400 with all the other mods. I know Aaron doesn't like tuning with meth though. I would just send them a PM and tell them you want to get to 400whp and they'll let you know what you need. O2 Dump really frees up quite a bit too though. They'll probably also get you on a speed density intake too. Let me know how it goes, can't wait to get a ride in it!

Did you guys lose much spool by adding S2's on a stock 9 turbo setup?
