Evo without ACD

Well i was just wondering if a Evo without acd but adding a lsd to the front will be closer to the performance of a ACD Evo? I know for sure it wont compare but i was curious to hear from people that have upgraded to LSD. Thanks

What I did with my 2007 EUDM Evo IX:

1) Replaced rear AYC diff with RS one (had to re-weld the rear frame as AYC and RS have different mounting points). RS plates re-built to make diff stiffer.

2) Replaced ACD with VCU transfer.

3) Removed the pump, wiring, hydraulic cabling and ACD ECU completely.

4) Re-worked drive shaft (RS one is shorter then AYC as AYC has shorter "tail"). It has one cross joint now and weights just a bit more then aluminum one still being 3 times harder to break (chromoly steel Vs aluminum). Basically I have custom drive shaft now.

5) Replaced nearly open front diff with Wavetrac.

6) Replaced GSR 6 speed transmission with a short ratio 5 speed RS one.

What I've got @ the final stage... Car is LIGHTER (that was just one point where I've removed extra weight) and this is good. Using the same engine/brakes/tyres etc setup I actually drive it SLOWER. It's not a Sony Playstation any more and ECU does not fix my driving errors with ACD/AYC setup as it did before.

Car is neutral now (more was like a rear wheel drive with open diff in the front) and very predictable.

Would I recommend doiing this to anybody? Probably not. TONs OF CASH, time and slower car @ the final step. BUT. It's fun. And I first time in my life (after Evo V JDM, EVO7 JDM, EVO8, EVO9, EVO X and EVO9 EUDM have a car with full mechanical transmission & diffs, even my Evo V had AYC I hate).
