I'n not "hatin" as you put it I'm just looking for clarification and your speculation does not answer my question? A main reason why I went with the 2.5" Buschur turbo back exhaust was that it allowed me to retain my cat converter for emissions purposes (unlike the 3" Buschur turbo back). But now I'm under the impression that Buschur has a 3" turbo back that incorporates a cat converter. I think this is great news and may wish to pursue this system when I do a turbo upgrade, up the road, once I figure out if I want to go with a stand alone ecu or not?

4-BNGR: I purchased Buschur's 3" high flow cat option.

Dan: I've got to look into how much the ticket will actually cost me. If it's less than $100 then I probably won't waste my time or **** off the officer by embarassing him in court since he operates out of a station about 1/2 mile from my house. He actually wrote me up under the wrong statute which deals with "unapproved equipment" (aka neon lighting and other lighted doodads). Neither that offense nor 46.2-1049 carry any points. Now if it's closer to $200 then I'll take my chances in court.

We have ALWAYS made our full 3" systems with a highflow cat. We would prefer to sell all of our systems in legal form with the cat. We DO NOT neck our system down. The cat is a slip fit just like the offroad pipe.

I went and looked at the link to our site you sent. It just says there that we aren't running a cat for those dyno tests. So, yes, currently we are running the cat delete pipe on our car.

Yes, that's what I'm running. Buschur supplied me with both a high-flow 3" cat (from Catco) and a test pipe. They provided me a mid-pipe with a standard O2 sensor bung; I'm told they provide a different O2 sensor bung for those who don't purchase the high-flow cat.

Note that replacing the functional factory catalytic converter is illegal under Federal law. There is no problem driving around with the replacement cat, only the actual act of replacing it is illegal. Keep this in mind if you find a shop willing to install your exhaust with high-flow cat -- they're doing you a favor and risking a fine.

Well, perhaps. Though I was pulled over in NoVA and given a hard time about my 'modified' exhaust.....when in fact the was the OEM piece!

Paint it black....if you are pulled over again, deny that it is aftermarket!

I dont know if this link will work. I plan on quieting my car down some & using this in addition to my current exhaust, shortly after my cat. This is a route I am thinknig about trying. They are not stainless, thus 1/2 the cost. I dont know if they will reduce your HP any as well. just a thought.

Has buschur racing experimented with additional silencers vs Ps vs sound reduction for old ladies like myself!

If there's one thing cops hate it's a person who fights a knock-down ticket when they were actually given a break (Personal experience ). Next time he'll be waiting for you outside the Red Lobster after a couple Margaritas! I'd suggest eating the ticket, there's worse things than a couple dollars going to the Commonwealth.

Hmm.. I cant believe you're havingtrouble with cops even with the cat in. I have the UR 3" TB with test-pipe and Magnaflow muffler, and it is still quiet, sounds great too. I mean at WOT it is a little loud but awesome!!, But not nearly as loud as the Harleys riding by shaking my windows! How come they dont get tickets?????

RMR certainly advertises a quiet exhaust. I have one which was on the car when I bought it. Unfortunately. mine was supplied with and HKS Carbon fiber muffler. I'm looking at a diffuser for it.

I'm uploading one as we speak... it sounds totally bad ***. Just put it in this week.
Had to spray the tip black though, because it certainly might cause some attention...
although babying it around town it's not bad at all.

Much quieter than my last car, that's for sure.
