Well, see if you add the 3 PSI of creep to the 2-3 PSI of increase due to the air temp drop that is a total of 5-6 PSI of unaccounted for boost increase. At least now you have a better understanding of what is most likely happening.

im just glad i turned it way down 2 weeks ago before it got this cold. if i still had the previous boost setting and then add the creep and temp difference, thats nearly 30psi.

Thanks for ur help tho. id probably be chasing this one around for a while before wrapping my brain around it.

When you get a chance do a WOT run with the MBC adjusted to its lowest possible setting like I asked. This will give me a good idea of what your wastegate's base pressure is? Or was that 17 PSI peak reading that you mention above achieved with the the MBC adjusted all the way to its lowest possible setting?

At any rate, since you have three PSI of creep then you can either tune for it, or try to cure it? What do you want to do?

By tuning for it I mean that you would have to take those three PSI of creep into account when setting your peak boost level. So, for example, if you wanted to run 20# peak then you would adjust peak to 17# knowing that it is going to creep those extra three PSI from 17# up to 20#.

Some guys choose to run this way, but I think that it is lameness. It is best to solve the creep issue definitively. Otherwise it may come back to haunt you when you want to tune your car right to the edge later on.

with the mbc turned all the way down i hit 15psi. its supposed to have a 12psi spring according to the manufacturer. my tune had a lot to do with my issue, since i didnt account for the extra boost, the corresponding load column was untuched. so it went from a value of 11.4 to 9.8 on the map. lol ill work with the tables and account for the extra psi.

Ideally, what would you like your peak boost level to be, given no creep and a constant climactic scenario?

Yeah, you can tinker with the tune to take into account the boost anomally due to the temperature changes. Once you have that worked out then send me a PM so that we can solve that creep issue.

BTW, does your car have a cat or a test pipe? What DV/BOV do you have on there?

id like 23-24psi. however i just made the switch to tephra mod last night, so im working with all new maps for fuel and timing. still trying to dial things in. ive got a perrin downpipe with a MAP non resonated test pipe leading back to an old buschur catback section. and using a Forge recirculated bov
