You can also go with Cosworth however ACL makes the bearings for them

on maperformance.com there is an option to coat the acl rod and main bearings
does anything do this and is it worth it?

My thought on bearing coatings is that if it is applied over the bearing's break in coating it will be washed away within seconds of the engine firing up. Makes sense to me on the pistons, just not on the bearings..

I was skeptical when dry film bearing coatings first came onto the scene, but not any longer. They function as advertised, that much now having been demonstrated beyond debate. How much value they carry in this type of application is a matter of discussion, but quite a few top-tier professional racing programs are using them.

A few people including me are opting for the new king xp bearings. I have a thread at the top asking what other people thought about them. And nothing but good things from these bearings. Also very VERY consistent on there clearance unlike acl. They guarantee within .003 on all rod bearings witch is great! Check em out
