Today I talked to this evo owner that had a recirc dv with the hks ssqv insert wedged inside the coupler coming out the DV. It's not as loud as the VTA hks but noticeable.

Anyone ever seen this??

So if you must have that rice whistle but want to stay recirculated there you go. If anyone attempts this post pix lolz

 

I could be misunderstanding but I run the same HKS and I have it recirculated as well, The sound is 2/3 as loud as the sound of when it is setup in VTA form. Obviously every setup is going to differ but you can still have the ricer sound and have the recirc mode. I enjoy the sound to be quite honest, ricerboy inside me I guess LOL

 

This thread should be moved to General section, ....the fp anti surge housing, has a distinct spooling noise---its very high pitch and its even more amplified with a metallic intake. Its not like a whoosh bov sound, but very high aggressive hissing sound and as you lift off its sort of a crack of the whip stock sound by more audible. The IX divertor and a fp intake (84mm to be exact will net you that wicked spooling sound)
