evo 9 turbo untuned?

Hey guys, i have an 03' evo 8 and i just bought my friends evo 9 turbo. i was wondering if it would be smart to installed the turbo while untuned??

mods so far:
cone filter
3in down pipe, test pipe and cat back
six puck clutch and light wheight flywheel
spark tech cop
ets short route 2.5in piping
xs power intercooler
DW 320lhp fuel pump
MAP long tube runner manifold
GFB BOV (100% recirc)
NGK BRP7ES plugs gapped at .24

would it be safe to run an evo lX turbo with this set up untuned??
and should i stick with these spark plugs or go BRP8ES??

-thanks guys
nick

if you want 9 turbo on this spec list you should configure your ecu. car must be faster with 9 turbo. what about cams?

You can probably install it, I'd just suggest turning down the boost until you can get a tune or tune it. Do you have a way to watch your A/F?

there is no points install it now without ecu tune. the only way is boost off if you can not wait to...

I bought my car with a 9 turbo installed without a tune. It's currently set to about 17-18psi and runs good. Wondering if I can turn up the boost safely or not though (since evos run pretty rich from the factory).

and im currently pushing about 20lbs, i guess i can throw the turbo on and drop the boost down a couple of clicks

Smart? No. Safe? Idk without seeing a log of some pulls. Are you in the Springs? There's some tuners down there. If you are near Fort Collins I could help you out.

I had one on my car for months and never got a retune. Didnt notice much difference without a tune. Just be careful you dont go lean up top.
