had mine on for almost a year driving untuned... the only difference i felt was it responded better and a little more power up top but i would recommend getting a tune for the full potential... didn't have any issues whatsoever on mine and boost was around 20psi compared to my 8 turbo at 17-18ish

Just don't kick the crap out of it until u getta tune and u'll be fine. Going WOT might not of hurt some people's motors but I wouldnt risk it.

I went from a evo 8 turbo to a 71hta with all the bells and whistles.

I drove it around for 2 months until I could get a tune. Never took it past partial throttle or above 3500rpms. All was well.

As long as you don't WOT or anything close to aggressive driving it should be fine. If you WOT, you will/should hit loads at different RPM's that you're not tuned for. Also, you should get more air/boost in your engine causing you to go lean. Lean is bad. I suspect the timing will be low, but it's a guess without logging.

I guess the real questions are:
Why put the turbo on now?
Why not use your 8 turbo until you're about to get tuned?
Why drive around like a N/A car?

You do realize that you will not have any fun at all driving without boosting?! I tried to not boost for a full tank of gas (2 days) to see if I could improve my mpg. After a 1/2 tank I was like, "FO(K THAT!!!"

NGK Spark Plugs Heat Rating

The spark plug heat range has no relationship to the electrical energy transferred through the spark plug. The heat range of a spark plug is the range in which the plug works well thermally. The heat rating of each NGK spark plug is indicated by a number; lower numbers indicate a hotter type, higher numbers indicate a colder type.
