Rebuilding; sensor replacement questions

Hello everyone!

So since tax return time is right around the corner I will finally be able to finish my 2.4l build. The questions I have are; while everything is torn apart, should i replace the cam angle sensor and crank position sensor? I would hate to have to get back into the block and pull everything to do this replacement. I dont have access to an ocsilliscope to test the cam angle sensor. They currently have approx. 70k miles, and the reason im rebuilding is because of a spun rod bearing...just to give a brief background on the parts. And if there are any other sensors in which you guys could recommend that i replace while doing this would be a big help. Thanks!

**And if anyone has a lathed down balance shaft or good cond. front case+oil pump I could use one**

Thanks again guys!!!

This question is kinda like where people write in asking how much stuff to replace when doing 60K maintenance. To know, like a fortune teller, you'd have to be able see the future. In general, I'll venture that anything with questionable wiring should be replaced.

I think you will be fine not replacing them. If they failed your vehicle would have drivability issues, so if you don't have any related to those sensors, why replace them.
